Was known as one armed Bill. He lost an arm in Bristows factory in Montague Road. His daughter Babara was taking his tea to him and although she could see his head she thought it was a head injury. Her mother reacted in a very level headed way and got a baby sitter for the kids before going herself to the factory and finding out what had happened to Bill.After working at Bristows Bill owned a grocery shop that had a corn shambler on the back. He then owned a sweet shop in Enfield, and then a grocery shop, All were sold before WWII.
As his wife Milly died giving birth to Davis he had to give up both Lottie and David for adoption. Lottie went to Alfred and Mary Capon. David was adopted by the Wright family.
