comments were "a keen worker with good sense of leadership. as a disciplinarian has done very well."

Dave, Ted , Ron and Margaret all pooled money to buy records 78rpm's. The first one bought was by the Ink Spots. This as the same method that was later used by Mum, Rosetta, Kath and Shirley to buy 45's in the 1960's.
Dave and Margaret were watching British army paratroopers practice jumping during WWII from the coal bunker at Montague Gardens and Dave got the right idea to emulate them by jumping from the upstairs window with an umbrella and nearly broke his neck.
