Spinster and daughter of <<George>> Carnell of independent means deceased. Cause of death: Cerebral haemorrhage, certified by A Ross. Informant: Lavinia C Cox, neice, present at the death, 64, Talgarth Mansions, registered same day. The Will was made 5 July 1921 and amended by codicil 5 October 1922.The first clause appoints a firm of solicitors in Soho Square as executors, but with the codicil Caroline changed this in the autumn before she died. This suggests that Lavinia might have been caring for her at this stage.

She died in 1866 aged 66yrs in Detroit, however Sandhurst Baptist Church records state she is buried with her first husband George, plot no 292.It is more likely that her body was buried in Detroit with Thomas and theinscription recorded on her father's headstone by daughter Maria Munn
